Seniors’ Culinary Heritage
Nourishing Traditions is an intergenerational, community-based program that uses food as a pathway to connection, cultural preservation, and well-being. The program invites seniors to share traditional recipes, cooking techniques, and family food stories, strengthening social participation and reducing isolation through shared culinary experiences.
Elders lead hands-on classes with youth and community members. Recipes are recorded for a community cookbook and showcased in public cooking events.
Attend a cooking night, contribute to the cookbook, or help film recipe videos.
