LEGACY DOCUMENTARIES

LEGACY DOCUMENTARIES

Honouring Seniors Changemakers

Legacy Documentaries is a community-based storytelling initiative that recognizes and preserves the contributions of seniors who have played meaningful roles in shaping their communities. The program profiles seniors whose leadership, service, entrepreneurship, advocacy, or cultural work has had a lasting local impact, positioning seniors as contributors, mentors, and role models.

Through short documentary films created in collaboration with youth and volunteer creatives, the program captures elders’ stories, achievements, and lived experiences. These documentaries are shared through schools, community centres, public screenings, and online platforms, creating opportunities for intergenerational learning, public recognition, and community reflection.
