When we met Mama Esther, a retired midwife from Ghana living quietly in Edmonton, she told us, “I’ve delivered over 300 babies. But most people here only know me as the quiet woman who walks to church.” Her life — once full of purpose and service — was invisible in her new home.
Through Legacy Keepers, Mama Esther’s story was filmed and shared with local schools. Her legacy inspired students to write letters of appreciation and host an African culture day in her honor.
