ELDERS ADVISORY COUNCIL

ELDERS ADVISORY COUNCIL

Elders Advisory Council for Inclusive Planning

True inclusion begins with listening. The Elders Advisory Council for Inclusive Planning is a pilot, community-based initiative that brings together seniors from diverse backgrounds to inform, co-create, and influence community programs, services, and planning processes in Edmonton and beyond.

The Council provides a structured and respectful forum for seniors to share lived experience, insights, and perspectives as active contributors and advisors, not only as service users. Through guided consultations and collaborative dialogue, elders help shape inclusive approaches across areas such as transportation, urban design, healthcare access, education, arts, and cultural life.

OBJECTIVES

HOW IT WORKS
